The Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF) held its 8th Advisory Council meeting in Singapore on October 16, 2018, with more than 110 Advisory Partners in attendance.
The meeting was co-chaired by Joaquim Levy, MD/CFO, World Bank Group, and Rajeev Kannan, Executive Officer, Head of Investment Banking Asia, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and focused on the standardization of contracts. Government officials from Vietnam, Indonesia, and India showcased their infrastructure programs. During the luncheon, Mr. Chee Hong Tat, Senior Minister of State for Trade & Industry and Education, Singapore, shared his views on how to address the constraints to infrastructure development in emerging markets and developing economies and Singapore's role in the effort. Clifford Chance, a GIF Advisory Partner, presented on the Take-out Facility.
