Formally launched in April 2015, the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF) held its second Advisory Council meeting on October 21, 2015, in Singapore. With the Facility now established and fully operational as a Financial Intermediary Fund (FIF), the GIF is able to provide technical funds, financing, or extend credit enhancement to complex infrastructure investments.
The GIF is a global collaboration platform that facilitates the preparation and structuring of complex infrastructure PPPs to enable the mobilization of private sector and institutional investor capital.
