As the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF) enters its second decade, this report reviews how the GIF helps close the gap between public infrastructure priorities and private investment in emerging markets and developing economies. In FY26, the GIF approved $13.83 million for 22 new activities across 23 countries. Its support contributed to 11 commercial closes, 7 financial closes and $1.6 billion in private capital mobilized, bringing the total since inception to $12.7 billion. The report looks back at ten years and shows how early project preparation builds investment-ready pipelines and new markets.
