Indonesia has 40% of the world's geothermal resources yet remains dependent on fossil fuels. The World Bank’s Geothermal Resource Risk Mitigation Project seeks to support the Government of Indonesia in implementing an innovative financing mechanism that addresses the high risk of exploration to scale up the use of geothermal energy.
