A practical developer manual for geothermal infrastructure projects was published in August 2021, featuring the Geothermal Resource Risk Mitigation (GREM) Project in Indonesia, developed by the Government of Indonesia (GoI) through PT SMI and with the World Bank.
The GREM project's objective is to promote the development of geothermal power generation projects in Indonesia. The new facility is enabling early-stage financing of geothermal projects for public and private developers to increase geothermal power generation capacities within the country. The Facility includes three windows: 1) government drilling window, 2) public developer window and 3) private developer window.
